  • The Al Hirschfeld Free Health Clinic provides free health care to uninsured and underinsured entertainment industry professionals between the ages of 18 and 64. The Hirschfeld Clinic offers urgent care, primary and specialty care with low cost referrals to a wide range of specialty clinics and practitioners. Dr. James Spears, the Clinic's Medical Director, oversees a team of general practitioners and specialists who volunteer their time to provide free medical care to the entertainment community. All lab tests as well as other services provided by the Clinic are free.

CHCs also provide access to dental and mental health services. 14 CHCs operate over 118 clinic sites in 34 Colorado counties. 12 CHCs operate 34 dental clinic sites in 21 Colorado counties.
  • The CLASS Program is a national, voluntary insurance program that will be available after October 2012 to assist in paying for services and supports that help individuals maintain independence in their communities. People over age 18 who are working will have the opportunity to enroll in the CLASS Program. Enrollees (after contributing to the program for five years) who the program determines have functional limitations expected to last 90 days or more and meet other eligibility requirements will get a cash benefit to help pay for supports to stay independent. These limitations include needing help with many basic daily living activities such as eating and getting in and out of bed. Such supports include home modifications, assistive technologies, home care aides, and personal assistance. The minimum average daily benefit will be $50 a day.
